Payments and Refund Policy for the 2022-23 Activity Year

Registration Fees - General

 

The registration fees include payment for normal activities during the year, personal insurance for the chanich, and an aniva (necktie). The registration fees do not include a khaki shirt ($25), a white polo shirt ($25), fees for overnight camps, special activities, or seminars.

Please note that the credit card charge will not be for Shevet Gefen but for FOIS - Friends of Israel Scouts.

Please do not cancel charges without talking to the Shevet Treasurer beforehand. Canceling the charge carries a fine from PayPal, which the family will be asked to pay.

 


Early Bird Registration Fees for 2022-2023

Families who register in advance can enjoy a reduced registration fee. Early bird registration is available until 9/12/2022. The registration fee is refundable in full (less the $ 35 registration fee and the 3.5% credit card fee) until 10/2/22 (October 2nd, 2022) or after 3 regular meetings (peulot) for early bird registration.

 

Early Bird Registration Fees:
First two children: $ 650 each
Third child: $ 450

Fourth child or more: $150 

Maximum per family $ 1,900

9th grade and Shachbag will pay an additional $100 deposit for the out-of-state leadership camps.

Regular Registration Fees for 2022-2023

Regular registration is available from 9/13/2022 and until the end of the year. The registration fee is refundable in full (less the $ 35 registration fee and the 3.5% credit card fee) until 10/2/22 (October 2nd, 2022) or after 3 regular meetings (peulot) for regular registration.

Regular Registration Fees:
First two children: $ 700 each
Third child: $ 500

Fourth child or more: $200 

Maximum per family $ 2,100

To receive a refund, please contact the Shevet Treasurer. Please do not contact her by phone or on WhatsApp. The refund will be calculated based on the date the application was sent to the Shevet Treasurer.

 

Membership Fees

Membership fees include a registration fee of $35, which will not be returned under any circumstances.

Please note: in order to enjoy the early bird discounted price, you must register in the system and pay the annual registration fee until 9/12/2022. Details regarding the registration process can be read here.

Financial Aid

Please contact the Shevet Treasurer for any financial aid needs. Discretion is guaranteed.

 

Trial Membership

 

Shevet Gefen allows three (3) trial regular meetings (peulot) after registering and fully paying for the activity year. The number of meetings (peulot) is counted from the first trial meeting (peula) and includes the next two regular meetings (peulot), regardless of the participation of the child.

Registration Fees for Camps, Events, and Special Activities

Camps and Events, such as sleep-away and other weekend camps, are not included in the regular membership fee, and require separate registration and payment:

Shevet Gefen Sleepover 11/4/2022-11/6/2022 - for 3rd graders and up. 

Winter Camp 12/9/2022-12/11/2022 - for 3rd graders and up. 

Hadracha Camp 1/12/2023-1/16/2023 - for 9th graders only. 

Winter Trip 2/27/2021 - for 3rd graders and up.

Shachbag Camp 2/17/2023-21/2/2023 - for 10th graders and up.

Spring Camp 6/9/2023-6/11/2023 - for 3rd graders and up.

Refund Policy

Attention! If a chanich decides to leave the Scouts after the end of the trial period, no refund will be issued for any reason.

 

Late Registration Prorated Fees

Registration until 12/31/2022 - full registration fee.

Registration from 1/1/2023 to 2/28/2023 - about 70% of the registration fees.

Registration as of 3/1/2022 - about 45% of the registration fees.

For late registration please contact the Shevet Treasurer.

 

The determining date for the purpose of payment is the day of joining the peulot and not the day of payment.

 

Late Registration Policy for Camps and Events

At the end of the early registration for the Winter and Spring camps, there will be a late registration period with an additional payment of 30% per chanichAt the end of the late registration for the Winter and Spring camps, registration will be possible only in very exceptional cases, subject to the approval of the Shevet, available space on the bus and camp cabins, and the approval of Hanhagat Tzabar. In addition, there will be an additional charge of $100-200 depending on the costs beyond the late registration fee.

 

Policy for Canceling Registration for the Winter and Spring Camps

Cancellation of registration for the Winter and Spring camps will only be possible during early registration. At the end of early registration, it will not be possible to receive a refund for canceling the registration for the camps.

 

Reimbursement Policy for Hadrach and Shachbag Camps

In accordance with the guidelines as published by Hanhagat Tzabar.

COVID-19 Effect on Activities and Registration

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Shevet Gefen is continuously evaluating its activities and programs. We will try and maintain our activities as scheduled and as allowed by Federal, State, and County regulations and the JCC policies. Please note that we may need to modify or cancel some events and activities, if COVID-19 situation worsens. As of August 2022, there are no COVID-19-related restrictions.
