אנחנו מקווים שכולכם בריאים ושלמים!
אנחנו ממשיכים בפעילות הצופים בלונג איילנד גם בשנה זו!! מאז חודש אוגוסט, שבט גפן מצליח להפעיל פעילות צופים כמעט רגילה כל שבוע בימי ראשון. היו לנו פעולות בפארק כמו בכל שנה רגילה, טיול משפחות ראשון, וביום ראשון ה-7 בנובמבר, נצא לטיול עניבות שבטי שבסופו החניכים ישתתפו בטקס קבלת העניבות המסורתי.
כפי ששמתם לב, אנו מקפידים מאוד על כללי ההתנהלות בזמן מגפת הקורונה, כולל חבישת מסיכות בכל זמן הפעולות, חיטוי ידיים ומדידת חום וחלוקה לקבוצות הגיל, ללא ערבוב בין הקבוצות. כמו-כן, אנחנו פועלים בהקפדה יתרה, ואפילו מעבר להנחיות, במקרים של חשש לחשיפה של מי ממשפחת השבט.
בהמשך נעבור לפעילות בתוך הג'י סי סי, בחדרים (וגם בחוץ במידה ומזג האויר יאפשר זאת). כמו-כן, כל עוד ההנחיות לא יאפשרו מחנות עם לינה, אנחנו גם מתכננים טיולים ומפעלים יומיים נוספים שיתקיימו בסופי שבוע, במקום המחנות.
אחרון חביב, חשוב לנו שתדעו שכל עוד אין סגר, אנחנו נעשה ככל יכולתנו כדי שנמשיך בפעילות. כמו-כן, במידה ונתקל במקרים של חולי קורונה מאומתים מבין חניכי השבט, אנחנו נפעל בהתאם לכללים. זאת אומרת הפסקה בפעילות פנים מול פנים ומעבר לפעילות אונליין למשך שבועיים לקבוצת הגיל הנדונה, או במקרה הצורך של כל השבט, אך מייד לכשיתאפשר, נחזור לפעילות בג'י סי סי.
לאור זאת, נראה לנו שחשוב להבין שהשתתפות החניכים בפעילות פנים מול פנים, וגם להמשיכה במידת הצורך באונליין, תאפשר גיבוש של החניכים והתנתקות מהמסכים. אנחנו מאפשרים סביבה אשר תיצור להם חוויה חברתית ייחודית בתקופה כזו וגם תעזור בבניית יסודות איתנים לילדיכם בצופים לשנים הבאות (ואולי, אם נהייה לרגע אופטימיים, אפילו לקראת סוף שנת הפעילות הזאת), כשנחזור לפעילות רגילה.
כדי לעזור למשפחות אשר חוששות ממעבר קבוע לפעילות אונליין, השקענו שעות רבות בשינוי נוהלי ההחזרים לשנת הפעילות הנוכחית. פרטים נוספים בהמשך:
שינוי נוהל החזרים בתקופת הקורונה לילדים בכיתות א' עד ח'
מספר משפחות עם ילדים קטנים פנו אלינו והביעו חשש להתחייב להירשם לשבט מתוך הבנה שחלק מהפעילות תעבור לפעילות אונליין בזום ושפעילות כזו לא מתאימה לילדיהם. כדי לאפשר גמישות בנושא, נכנסו למשא ומתן עם הנהגת צבר וקיבלנו את הסכמתם לשינוי בזמני העברת התשלום עבור השתתפות החניכים להנהגה לשנה הקרובה. דבר זה מאפשר לנו לשנות את נוהל ההחזרים שלנו לשנה הקרובה כדי לאפשר יותר גמישות להורים לילדים בכיתות א'-ח'.
לפי נוהל חדש זה אנו נאפשר להורים להחליט בשתי נקודות זמן במהלך השנה אם הם רוצים לבטל את הרישום של ילדם לשבט מאחר והפעילות עברה לזום. בנוסף כדי להקל אנו נאפשר חלוקה של דמי הרישום לשלושה תשלומים חודשיים למעוניינים.
אנו תקוה שהחלטה זו תקל על ההחלטכם להצטרף השנה לצופים ולהמשיך את פעילות ילדיכם בשבט ולא להפסיד את החוויה המדהימה הזאת!!
כיתות ג' עד ח':
תשלומים:
לאחר רישום הילד, יש לשלם את דמי הרישום לילדים בכיתות ג'-ח' על סך $630 אותם ניתן לחלק ל-3 תשלומים חודשיים בכרטיס אשראי של $210 בזמן הרישום. בהגיעכם לשלב התשלום, במידה ואתם מעוניינים בתשלומים, אנא הכניסו את הקוד Tashlumim כדי לפצל את התשלום לעד 3 תשלומים.
החזרים:
1/1/2021 היא נקודת הזמן הראשונה בה תוכלו לבקש ביטול ההרשמה. הודעת הביטול צריכה להיעשות לפני ה- 1/1/2021 כדי לקבל החזר של $470.
3/1/2021 היא נקודת הזמן השנייה בה תוכלו לבקש ביטול הרשמה. הודעת הביטול צריכה להיעשות לפני ה-3/1/2021 כדי לקבל החזר של $160.

Dear Parents,
We hope you are all healthy and safe!
Since August, the Shevet Gefen has been able to run almost normal scout activity every week on Sundays. We had activities in the park as we do every year, a first family hike, and on Sunday, November 7th, we will go on our annual Anivot Hike, at the end of which the chanichim will participate in the traditional necktie ceremony.
As you may have noticed, we are very strict about the rules of conduct during the COVID-19 pandemic, and that includes wearing masks at all times, disinfecting hands, measuring temperature, and keeping our different age groups separated. We also proceed with extreme caution, and go even beyond the guidelines, in cases of verified exposure to COVID-19 among members of Shevet families.
Later this month, we will move to activities indoors to the JCC (and will also be outside if the weather allows it). While the guidelines will not allow overnight camps with accommodation, we are planning additional day trips and activities that will take place on weekends, in lieu of the camps.
Finally, it is important for you to know that as long as there is no “stay at home” order, we will do our best to continue the Shevet activity. In cases of verified corona patients among the members of the Shevet, we will proceed according to the guidelines. This means a break in face-to-face activities and a transition to online activities for two weeks for the relevant age group, (or in the unlikely event of wider exposure, the entire Shevet), but as soon as it is possible, we will return to the JCC for regular activities.
In light of this, it seems important to us that the kids participate in face-to-face activities, and also if continued online, if necessary, will allow the kids to coalesce into their groups and disengage from the screens. This is an opportunity for your child to have a unique social experience during such a unique time and also will help build solid foundations for your children for future years in Tzofim (Or maybe, just maybe, if we are optimistic, even towards the end of this year), when we return to normal activity.
To help families who are concerned with a possible transition to full online activity in case of a ‘shelter at home’ order, we have invested a lot of time in working to modify the refund procedures for the current activity year. More details later in the post...
Change in the refund policies during the coronavirus pandemic
A number of families with young children have approached us and expressed concern about committing to enroll in the Shevet due to their concern that the activity will move to full online zoom activity and that such activity is not suitable for their children. To allow flexibility in the matter, we entered negotiations with the Hanhagat Tzabar leadership, and we received their consent to change the payment transfer times for the chanichim participation to the Hanhaga for this year. This allows us to change our refund policy for the coming year to allow more flexibility for parents of children in grades 1-8.
Under this new policy, we will allow parents to decide at two points in time during the year whether they want to cancel their child's registration to the Shevet since the activity has moved to Zoom. In addition, for those in need, we are now able to allow the payment of the registration fee in three monthly payments.
We hope that this will help make the decision to have your child join the Scouts this year easier and will help your child continue with the Shevet activities.
Update of the refund policy for the year of activity 20-21:

Payments:
After registering the child, the registration fee for children in grades 3-8 can be paid by credit card in the amount of $630, which can be divided into 3 monthly payments of $210 at the time of registration. Refunds:
